The Israel Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1965. Several internationally acclaimed choirs participated with the Orchestra, such as: The Netherlands Chamber Choir, Stuttgart Chamber Choir, Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, Gulbenkian Choir, The Brigham Young University Choir, Toelz Boys Choir, Prague Chamber Choir, Vienna Sangerknaben and others.
The ICO's repertoire ranges from early baroque to contemporary music. The Orchestra attaches vital importance to fostering music among the young, and its series, "For the Entire Family" has been enthusiastically acclaimed by both youth audiences and professional music critics alike. The Orchestra tours extensively in Europe, USA, Canada, South America and the Far East and participated in prestigious festivals such as Salzburg, Istanbul, Helsinki, Athens, Pompeii, Sofia and Mitte Europa, Hong Kong. |
